Dr. Jason Sonners
Are you looking for a more holistic approach to health care for you and your family? “Chiropractic” literally means to heal with your hands. Using a hands-on approach, Dr. Jason Sonners evaluates the structural, bio-chemical and emotional causes of disease. These causes of disease, or stressors, in our life prevent our body from functioning at its optimal level. |
By looking at the body as a whole and addressing lifestyle habits and tendencies, we help you realize and express the full potential of your body.
Dr. Jason Sonners, DC, DIBAK, graduated summa cum laude from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC). While attending NYCC, he also had extensive training in Active Release Technique, Applied Kinesiology, exercise rehabilitation, nutrition, and injury prevention.
Dr. Sonners has his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College and has been an exercise professional since 1997. He combines his knowledge and experience in both chiropractic and exercise to provide unique treatment protocols in order to help and heal patients regardless of their health and fitness backgrounds.
Many patients flock to Dr. Sonners for Applied Kinesiology (AK). AK is a system that evaluates structural, chemical and emotional aspects of health using manual muscle testing with other standards methods of diagnosis. Dr. Jason finds a muscle that is unbalanced and determines why that muscle is not functioning properly. He then works out the treatment that will best balance the patient’s muscles. Treatments include specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counseling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and various reflex procedures. Dr. Sonners has earned his Diplomate of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK). He is one of only 250 professionals in the world with this distinction.
You won’t want to miss a workshop by Dr. Sonners. As a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Professional (CCWP), he inspires all of us to live to our fullest potential, whether it be through exercise, nutrition, positive attitude, goal setting, or the importance of pre/post rehabilitation... they all have a major impact on our health and the quality of our lives.

Dr. Melissa Sonners graduated cum laude from New York Chiropractic College and has extensive training in Active Release Technique, Pediatrics and Pregnancy related care.
For pregnant mothers, the hormones that are released during pregnancy can cause sacral and pelvic misalignments, which can cause strain on the pelvic muscles and ligaments. This strain may or may not cause discomfort, but can prevent the baby from getting into the best possible position for birth. Dr. Melissa is certified in the Webster Technique, which is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces interference to the nerve system and facilitates biomechanical balance in pelvic structure, muscles, and ligaments.
Dedicated to continued learning about research on children with developmental delays and disorders, Dr. Melissa is currently enrolled in the Carrick Institute Functional Neurology Diplomate program, as well as, the Pediatric Diplomate program through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
If your child has difficulty processing visual, auditory, tactile (touch), smell and taste, they may benefit from sensory integration. If your child has difficulty in academics, social situations, with coordination or stamina, they may have retained primitive reflexes. For all of these issues, Dr. Melissa can do an evaluation and create an individualized program integrating physical and cognitive exercises, and often, dietary changes are recommended as well.

Dr. Mark Russo
If you are an athlete wanting to perform at your optimal level in a drug-free way, Chiropractic will help you achieve that goal! Chiropractic adjustments help ensure the body functions as efficiently as possible and also speeds recovery from injuries ranging from ankle sprains to separated shoulders to the all-too-common lower back pain. |
Dr. Mark Russo knows all about how chiropractic helps with sports injuries. As an athlete in high school, Dr. Russo sustained an injury while wrestling on the high school team. He became paralyzed with pain in his lower neck into both arms. After going the medical route for two months while out of school, he finally was introduced to chiropractic and responded very quickly. That experience had such an impact that he went on to become a chiropractor in 1982 after graduating from Life Chiropractic College.
Dr. Russo has always had a special relationship with his athlete patients due to his own experience. He was the 1987 Team Chiropractor for the USA Wrestling team in their exhibition against the Soviet Union at Madison Square Garden.
From 1989 to 1992, he was the Chiropractor for the show staff at Medieval Times, and has treated Yogi Berra, Regis Philbin, Daisy Fuentes, and Frederico Castaluccio (from The Sopranos). He was also one of the original chiropractors to be admitted on the staff of Columbus Hospital in Newark.
After the disaster of 9/11 occurred at the World Trade Center in New York, Dr. Russo was certified by the New York City Mayor’s Office to be a staff chiropractor treating the emergency personnel respondents. He has also served as the commissioner in the P.B.A. Physician’s Association.
Dr. Russo has been trained in manipulation under anesthesia (MUA) and has had extensive experience utilizing this method with great success.
