Due to the hormones that are released during pregnancy, sacral and pelvic misalignments
are common. Misalignments of the pelvis cause strain on pelvic muscles and ligaments
which may or may not cause discomfort. The strain on these ligaments which attach
to the uterus are what can prevent the baby from getting into the best possible
position for birth.
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces
interference to the nerve system and facilitates biomechanical balance in pelvic
structures, muscles and ligaments. This has been shown to reduce the effects of
intrauterine constraint, allowing the baby to get into the best possible position
for birth. Dr. Murtaugh is certified in the Webster Technique and has a passion
for working with pregnant moms.
